The European Court of Human Rights ruled on May 31st, 2022, in the case "Taner Kılıç vs. Turkey" in favour of Taner Kılıç: The Court did not find any evidence, which would have justified his detention in 2017. Turkey was ordered to pay $26,300 (€24,500) in damages and $10,735 (€10,000) in costs.
