In the protective measures around the Corona Pandemy the trial against the #Istanbul 10 and Taner Kılıç postponed to 3 July 2020.
After hearing the final defenses by the #Istanbul10 present, a few statements by the lawyers were given space, before the judges adjourned the hearing to 3rd April 2020.
On the 10th hearing against the #Istanbul10 the state prosecution gave their final statement: Taner Kılıç, Günal Kurşun, İdil Eser, Nejat Taştan, Özlem Dalkıran, Veli Acu: Guilty Ali Gharavi, İlknur Üstün, Nalan Erkem, Peter Steudtner: Not guilty
Reasoning, that the prosecutor did not have sufficient time for his final statement, the court postponed it for two more months.
Prosecution was not able to present final statement. Court did not take any other decisions.
After short statements by the defence, the court decides the next trial day to by 16 July 2019. The court also requests the summing up of the prosecution for this new date.
Next trial date: 21 March 2019. Travel restrictions on Taner Kılıç not lifted.

During a routine review, the 35th Heavy Penal Court in Istanbul ordered the release of Taner Kılıç from prison detention in Izmir. He had spent more then 400 days in detention.
